EXPERIENCIA KARAJIA O GUERREROS PUCAHUIA

Karajía, es un lugar que suele ser visitado de manera convencional, caminando hasta el punto de observación de los sarcófagos y explicación acerca de los purumachos y listo. Bueno, existe otra forma de realizar esa visita y es interactuando con la comunidad que protege estos sarcófagos o purun machos.

Un promotor cultural local les recibe y los dirige hacia su centro de interpretación y museo de la localidad donde explica la ruta que se va a realizar, la caminata que los lleva hacia el punto de observación de los Sarcófagos se llena de explicaciones sobre los antiguos batanes, el antiguo lugar donde habitaban los pobladores, el sitio de permanencia de Kauffman Doig para realizar la investigación de los sarcófagos y sobre su principal sustento económico: “la agricultura”; al retornar al pueblo se almuerza en una casita local degustando la gastronomía con productos locales y conociendo los utensilios que se usan para elaborarlos. Una experiencia de conocimiento y aprendizaje y valoración de las costumbre locales, las cuales perduraran gracias a este tipo de visitas que la valoran.

"CASA MUESCA" - REVASH​

San Bartolo is the village from where the hike to the mausoleums begins. It is one of the few villages that preserves its old houses made from tree trunks, called muesca houses. This tour will give you the chance to learn how these traditional constructions are made.

The walk to the mausoleums is led by a local promoter, who will share knowledge about plants used in ancient times to treat illnesses and about the community's agricultural products. Upon reaching the mausoleum observation point, you will receive detailed explanations about the site. Afterward, you will return to the village to enjoy local gastronomy and visit an earthen oven where traditional bread is baked.

ROUTE OF "JUAN EL OSITO" IN LA JALCA

This experience offers dance, nature, legends, archaeological sites, and more. La Jalca was the first place where Chachapoyas was founded, as San Juan de la Frontera de los Chachapoya. ​The tour begins with a visit to the museum, which houses fascinating artifacts. It continues with a meeting with a storyteller who narrates the legend of Juan el Osito (Juan the Little Bear) and takes you to the location where the legend began. A visit to Cashimsham Lagoon, a source of pride for the locals, is included. You'll also visit the stone church where Juan el Osito participated in its construction and enjoy the Bear Dance, which recreates the legend.

After exploring these sites, you’ll savor the local gastronomy before heading to the archaeological site of Ollape. This site features numerous circular houses of the ancient Chachapoya, a testament to their enduring legacy.

NUEVO HUANCAS

Nuevo Huacas, an annex of La Jalca district, offers the chance to discover an ancient mutual support technique known as minga. This discovery route, titled "The Minga, Music, and Dance for Abundance," allows you to experience the importance and joy of collective community work and its persistence through time.

You will learn about El Yanui, a combination of various local products and other dishes served during the mingueros' lunch. This collective work is accompanied by musicians and dancers who perform to the rhythm of the tinya (a small drum) and the quena (a traditional flute).
